XDC to Sign VPF Agreements for 35 New Screens in Spain
XDC, the leading digital cinema company in Europe, enhances its presence in the Spanish market.
XDC, the Belgian company headquartered in Liège with more than 4,200 committed digital screens of which 2,000 have already been deployed, has recently signed three new VPF agreements in Spain. In the framework of these agreements, another 35 screens in Catalonia, the Community of Valencia, Andalucia and Castilla León will be deployed while the installations are already in progress.
The installations concern the two complexes El Punt Cerdanyola and El Punt Alzira in Catalonia and the Community of Valencia operated by Pere Sallent. 21 screens will be equipped with state-of-the-art digital cinema technology in the next months. Then, the D-Cinema installation process will continue in the seven screens of Gran Marbella complex situated in Puerto Banús, Andalucia, due to the new VPF agreement between Manuel Salvador S.A. and XDC. Last but not least, the new cinemas Cines Victoria de Aranda de Duero operated by Matías Villegas will also be equipped with digital systems distributed by XDC. For their opening on 5th July two of its 7 screens had already been deployed, the next ones will be converted in the next few months.
With this new deployment, XDC, whose Operations Director in Spain, Miguel Ángel Durá, has been in office since January this year, reaches 200 digital screens in Spain showing its commitment to the Spanish cinema market.
