Unique Digital
Production has released the first copies of the SAWA inspired Global Goals
Cinema 20 second teaser DCP to SAWA (Global Cinema Advertising Association)
members across the planet.
The release of
the 20’ teaser campaign to be screened globally is the fore runner to the full 60
Second campaign which is due to be released on screens on September 25. The 60 second
release is to coincide with the launch of the Global Goals by the United
Nations on September 25th in New York.
“We have taken
the first step in our ambition to create and distribute the world’s most widely
seen DCP Cinema Advert” commented Nick Johnson, Production Manager of Unique
Digital. “The enthusiasm and dedication of all party’s involved in this effort
has been quite staggering and we are thrilled to be playing our part. Now
having completed Step 1 and begun to get the message out to cinema goers across
the planet, it is very satisfying” .
With the 20
second teaser campaign in the hands of Cinemas worldwide, the concentration now
turns to distribution of the full 60 second ad to support the wider Project
Everyone and Global Goals Initiative.
“There is some
complexity in DCP creation and distribution, with all the versions required -
be that for differing languages, differing end frames, differing formats; I am
very happy with the way the team has stepped up to the task in front of them
and with the way they have worked with all those who are contributing to the
effort of realising this ambitious goal” said Chris Hagan, Chairman of Unique
Digital.
Cheryl Wannell,
General Manager of SAWA said: “It’s a monumental task to distribute the First
Ever Global Cinema Ad. The 20 second ident / teaser, has allowed us to work
through the complexity so that we are ready to then distribute and screen the
full 60 Second Ad through our Cinema Advertising Network from September 25th.
Unique digital are pivotal SAWA members in this process. Essentially we are
creating a blue print for future global campaigns. We are so very pleased to be
a founding partner of the initiative and support such a worthwhile cause.”
