Cinema Sunshine chooses Christie’s RealLaser family of RGB laser cinema projectors and Vive Audio for its new flagship multiplex in Tokyo

First multiplex in Japan to feature RGB pure laser projectors in all auditoriums

Christie® is pleased to announce that Cinema Sunshine has deployed Christie’s next-generation cinema projectors featuring Christie RealLaser™ illumination and Vive Audio™ in its new flagship cinema complex in Tokyo.

Known as Grand Cinema Sunshine, the luxuriously furnished multiplex located in the commercial and entertainment district of Ikebukuro is the first in Japan to have all 12 auditoriums equipped with RGB pure laser projection systems. Christie’s RGB pure laser systems comprising the CP4330-RGB, CP2320-RGB, and CP2315-RGB cinema projectors are fitted in 11 auditoriums. These state-of-the-art systems deliver astounding visuals in 4K and 2K resolution, and offer greatly improved color and contrast for audiences.

In addition, Cinema Sunshine’s premium “BESTIA” theater in hall 6 has been equipped with Christie Vive Audio, which combines planar ribbon drivers, line array speaker design and Class D amplification to provide highly immersive cinema sound.

Christie’s RealLaser family of cinema projectors, which includes the CP4330-RGB, CP2320-RGB, CP2315-RGB, and CP2309-RGB, offers all the advantages of RGB pure laser in a compact “all-in-one” form. This eliminates the need for sub-ambient external cooling, which further reduces operational cost. Christie RealLaser consistently delivers excellent image quality and brightness above DCI standards throughout the projector’s natural life.

Since their official launch, Christie’s RGB pure laser projectors, based on the Christie RealLaser illumination platform, have been embraced by exhibitors around the world as the best replacements for lamp-based projection systems and new installations. In Asia, major cinema chains in China, Taiwan, Australia, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines have deployed these systems in their mainstream auditoriums.
