CES+ Recognized as Cinema Equipment Supplier of the Year

The Boxoffice Barometer Readers’ Poll Has Recognized CES+ as the Most Trusted Cinema Equipment Supplier of the Theatrical Exhibition Industry in 2021
CES+, an integration leader in cinema equipment, software, and technology solutions, is proud to announce that it has been recognized as the most trusted cinema equipment supplier of the theatrical exhibition industry in 2021 by the Boxoffice Barometer readers’ poll.

“This is a terrific acknowledgement and achievement for CES+,” said Alex Younger, CES+ CEO. “We put in a tremendous amount of effort into each and every project we do, and to be recognized by a large number of respected industry professionals is very fulfilling.”

The Boxoffice Barometer readers’ poll has a long-standing legacy in the motion picture business, which is a decades-long annual feature of Boxoffice Pro magazine, the reference trade publication of the theatrical exhibition industry. Originally designed to gauge exhibitors’ sentiment on Hollywood stars and upcoming films, the poll was relaunched in 2021 with the aim of highlighting the greatest achievements across the industry as voted on exclusively by cinema owners, operators, and employees.

In this year’s edition, more than 165 representatives from over 100 exhibition circuits around the world voted online to select the most important and influential contributions in the exhibition industry throughout the last year.

CES+ works alongside exhibitors in the U.S. and LATAM markets on new builds, remodels and renovations, and equipment upgrades, helping to evolve their technology and leverage the latest cinematic innovations to excite, entertain, and provide epic customer experiences.

One of CES+’s most recent projects was for Key Cinemas in Los Cayos, which is near CES+’s Florida headquarters. CES+ analyzed Key Cinemas’ needs for a full refurbishment and, as a result, CES+ first advised, and then equipped, repaired, and updated the five-screen complex. The project has been completed and Key Cinemas is fully operational once again.

Recently, CES+ updated Studio Movie Grill’s (SMG) North Point (Alpharetta, GA) and Chisholm Trail (Fort Worth, TX) cinemas, having prepared them for full automation and remote content management and remote support services.

“We are managing both facilities 100 percent remotely by leveraging our support center in order to accomplish these tasks,” explained Younger. “We are also providing content management for these sites as SMG relies on CES+ to manage all of their sites remotely in order to save operational costs while gaining personnel. We do this by taking care of any schedule changes and uploading content to each auditorium that requires it.”

Internationally, CES+ partnered with Ecuador’s innovation-centric movie theatre chain CINEXT in 2021 whereas CES+ installed remote services as well as equipped the cinemas with the latest digital cinema technologies at CINEXT’s theatres in Manta and Quito.

“We needed remote services so we could continue to operate no matter the issue, and CES+ was able to provide that for us,” explained CINEXT representative Adriell Deller.  “Our cinemas are state-of-the art facilities with luxury reclining seats, delicious food, a fresh and modern design and, of course, the latest technologies which drive our customer-led mission. We’re extremely happy with the installs that CES+ provided as these were an essential component to our theatres’ overall experience.”

CES+ installed NOC services at CINEXT theatres. NOC services are CES+’s technical support center for troubleshooting, managing RMA’s, and implementing the updates that CINEXT require with immediate availability.

“In addition to NOC services, CES+ was also responsible for equipping all CINEXT auditoriums,” added Henry Morales, CES+ account manager. “As a leader in cinema equipment, software, and technology solutions in Ecuador, CES+ works with many up-and-coming and well-known cinema establishments across Ecuador’s markets.” In publication since 1920, Boxoffice Pro is the reference publication of theatrical exhibition. Serving as the official publication of the National Association of Theatre Owners, Boxoffice Pro includes expert analysis of industry trends, executive profiles, and exclusive financial forecasts in print and online. Following its 2018 merger with Film Journal International, Boxoffice Pro is the only monthly magazine exclusively focused on the interests of theatrical exhibition worldwide.
