Allen Theatres Signs Deployment and Pre-Show Programming Deal with AccessIT

AccessIT Leveraging Advertising and Creative Services Customer Relationships
Access Integrated Technologies, Inc. ("AccessIT") (NASDAQ:AIXD) today announced that Allen Theatres (“Allen”) will be the thirteenth chain to convert 87 screens in 14 locations to Digital Cinema using AccessIT’s Theatre Command CenterTM software and pre-show programming and Christie DLP Cinema® projectors.

This commitment is the eighth of its kind among customers of AccessIT’s Advertising and Creative Services division. Each of the customers signing the integrated digital cinema and pre-show programming agreement are provided with a networked digital cinema system that plays both feature movies and PreFlix advertising. This system is the only one being marketed to theatres today.

Larry Allen, president of Allen Theatres, said: “Integrating the PreFlix advertising into a networked system that also will show feature films is a fantastic prospect for us. Removing operational steps behind the scenes will enable us to focus more on the areas of our business that mean more to customers, not the least of which is a top quality visual experience.”

“Allen Theatres is an outstanding family-owned regional theatre chain with over 90 years of history behind them. We’re proud of the confidence they have in AccessIT selecting us to be their partner in digital cinema,” said Chuck Goldwater, President of AccessIT’s Media Services Group.: “We are also pleased that Allen and a growing number of customers from our Advertising and Creative Services division are seeing the value in AccessIT as a provider of a fully integrated digital cinema program with all its benefits for exhibitors. The short-term pipeline is more than enough to reach our goal of 4,000 screens.”

Craig Sholder, Vice-President of Entertainment Solutions, Christie USA, added: "Allen Theatres' decision to install Digital Cinema systems is a testament to their rich history of innovative leadership. Their commitment to partner with AccessIT will provide new growth opportunities that only digitally equipped theatres can offer. We look forward to providing Allen Theatre audiences with pristine picture quality like never before with our acclaimed Christie CP2000 DLP Cinema® projector, a cornerstone of the Christie/AIX plan."

AccessIT Digital Cinema is the industry-leading deployment program for Digital Cinema that provides the funding, operations and administration for the company's studio-supported 4,000-screen Digital Cinema rollout plan supported by major studios and independent distributors, among others -- and exhibitors who receive turnkey, Digital Cinema systems in conformance with DCI specifications, including AccessIT’s unique Library Management Server® and Theatre Command Center® software, Christie DLP Cinema® projectors and Doremi’s DCP2000 JPEG server.
