Harman Pro Forms Group-Level Cinema Initiative, Names Stephen Morris Vice President Cinema Sales & Marketing
Single multi-brand sales and marketing initiative will better meet the needs of Harman’s growing worldwide cinema market customer base.
The Harman Pro Group today announced the formation of the HPro Cinema Group. This new initiative unifies the cinema sales and marketing responsibilities of both JBL Professional and Crown International. The group will be lead by Stephen Morris, who has been appointed to the newly created position of Vice President, Cinema Sales and Marketing reporting to JBL Professional President, John Carpanini.
According to Blake Augsburger, President Harman Pro Group, the formation of a Group-level cinema initiative comes at time when Harman Pro Group’s market and technology leadership continues to be on the rise. “In addition to our category-leading cinema loudspeakers from JBL Professional and cinema amplifiers from Crown International, Harman Pro Group offers Digital B-Chain™ technology that integrates components and provides system-level performance and diagnostic advantages no other manufacturer can match. Stephen Morris’ demonstrated expertise in market intelligence and sales makes him the ideal leader for this new group.”
Stephen Morris comes to his new position from Crown International, where he successfully led the company’s cinema market program for 9 years. Morris helped Crown achieve consistent growth in the global cinema market and was heavily involved in pioneering the development of the Group’s Digital B-Chain technology.
Commenting on his appointment, Morris said today, “I am very excited to lead this forward-looking initiative that is deeply committed to providing our cinema customers across the globe with integrated solutions that go beyond technology for technology’s sake but instead are engineered to suit the unique requirements of the cinema market.
