Globecast Broadcasts in 3D Live - Don Giovanni Opera Seen Across France’s Cinema Screens Thanks to Sensio® 3D

SENSIO Technologies Inc. (“SENSIO”) (TSX Venture Exchange Inc.: SIO), the inventor of the SENSIO® 3D technology, announced today that its technology, which allows the live 3D broadcast of content across existing distribution networks, was deployed for the live 3D broadcast of the Don Giovanni Opera originating from the Opera house in Rennes, France.

This lyrical show, a world premiere, was simultaneously broadcasted on June 2nd across Rennes' city hall lounge and four digital cinemas equipped with the SENSIO decoding technology.

“We are very pleased to collaborate with Globecast and be part of this broadcast event, the first Opera seen in live 3D. The European 3D market is fast growing and is one of our key target markets for the worldwide deployment of our technology. This event is a step forward in achieving this goal. We are confident that over the next few months, our technology will be utilized for the live 3D broadcast of many other European events”, comments Nicholas Routhier, President and CEO of SENSIO.

On a global scale, SENSIO is the only proven technology that is deployed for the broadcasting of live 3D events across digital cinemas. The superior image quality combined with the robustness and reliability of its technology has enabled SENSIO to become a worldwide leader in live 3D broadcasts.
