The Inter-Society for the Enhancement of Cinema Presentation, Inc. promotes interactive dialogue and information exchange between cinema-related entities with the goal of resolving issues affecting the overall cinema presentation. Founded in 1978 by Eastman Kodak VP Ken Mason, membership is composed of its four charter trade organizations - International Cinema Technology Association (ICTA), the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), the National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO), and the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) - along with over 40 member companies, made up of trade organizations, motion picture studios, exhibition companies, manufacturers, technical consultants, and other industry stakeholders.
 




The EDCF is a not-for-profit voluntary organisation that aims to act as a "Forum" to discuss key issues surrounding Digital Cinema in Europe. The purpose of EDCF is to provide a basis of common understanding across all European territories of the business and technical matters of digital cinema. 



The International Cinema Technology Association is a global network of professionals in the motion picture industry. RealD 3D Selected for the Occasion of the Royal Film Performance™ European Premiere of Martin Scorsese’s “HUGO”

Ultra-Bright 11 Foot-Lambert 3D Projection Showcased forTRH The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall, Film Cast, Celebrities and Dignitaries to Benefit the Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund
RealD Inc. (NYSE: RLD) announced today that the company’s 3D technology was selected for the Royal Film Performance™ United Kingdom premiere of Academy Award winner Martin Scorsese’s highly anticipated 3D live-action adventure film “HUGO.”  Held on Monday 28th November 2011 at the Odeon Leicester Square in London, the premiere featured an ultra-bright 11 foot-lambert 3D projection.   
 
“Combining the premiere of one of the most highly anticipated 3D films of the year with the Royal Film Performance created an extraordinary setting to showcase RealD 3D technology,” said Marlene Songin, Vice President, Cinema, EMEA at RealD.  “It was quite an honor to demonstrate RealD’s technology to such a prestigious audience with an 11 foot lambert presentation for a fully immersive 3D experience.”
 
“HUGO” is the astonishing adventure of a wily and resourceful boy whose quest to unlock a secret left to him by his father will transform Hugo and all those around him, and reveal a safe and loving place he can call home.  Directed by Martin Scorsese, “HUGO” is based on Brian Selznick’s best-selling novel The Invention of Hugo Cabret and stars Academy Award winner Ben Kingsley, Sacha Baron Cohen, Asa Butterfield, Chloe Grace Moretz, Ray Winstone, Emily Mortimer with Jude Law. Independently produced by GK Films, and distributed in the United Kingdom and Ireland by Entertainment Film Distributors, “HUGO” will be released beginning December 2nd (released in the United States by Paramount Pictures on November 23rd).
