We have recently upgraded our login system.  An account is not required, but necessary to set your preferences and edit company information.  If you have previously registered, you can log in again using the same email address and password.  You can reset your password by following the "forgot password?" link on the login page.

  • You can now log in using your external account from GoogleTwitter or LinkedIn.  More services may be added. Feedback is requested to support@DCinemaToday.com. You may still need to add (and confirm) your email address if its not provided by the external login provider.
  • When logged in, you can access your Account Manage page by clicking on your email address under the DCinemaToday logo. 
  • A login account allows you to request edit permissions for your company listing.  This permission is granted on a request basis to authorized employees and business principals.  More information on requesting to updating company information is available on the Account Manage page.  Once authorized, the companies you can update will be listed in the Authorizations section of your Account Manage page. 
  • A login account allows you to set the order of the Market Focus tabs on the DCinemaToday Home page.  You can set any tab as your default starting tab. To do this, go to the Tab Preferences section of the Account Manage page   (Desktop only - not yet ready for the Mobile App.)   More user-specific features are under development, so we recommend you log in when possible.

Screenvision Portugal contracts Unique Digital for 35mm cinema ad operation

Screenvision Portugal and Unique Digital Ltd. (UD) have signed an agreement to use Unique's back office solution for the distribution of all of its cinema adverts. The deal is the first time that Unique's Accord will be used for a traditional 35mm film print cinema advertising logistics. While Screenvision Portugal do not have any immediate plans to digitise their network of cinema partners, the systems provides full capability to switch over to complete end-to-end digital distribution and exhibition, once cinemas go digital.

Unique Digital's Director of Technology Dave Spilde commented, “We are delighted that Screenvision Portugal has chosen Unique's solution for their existing film and slide operation. This demonstrates the tremendous flexibility offered by the IQ-Accord, which Unique has been developing and refining for over six years.” The system will be used for all of Screenvision Portugal's operation as of the second half of 2005. The specially customized IQ-Accord system offers advanced customer relation management (CRM), booking, auditing, rates calculation and other tools for improving the efficiency of cinema advertising distribution, exhibition and auditing in Portuguese, with additional English, Norwegian and Spanish language support.

The deal is the second deployment of Unique's digital screen advertising solutions with Screenvision Europe, following the roll-out of UD's high-definition cine advertising solutions used with Belgian exhibitor Kinepolis' digital cinema (2K Barco) projectors earlier this year. “It's been a very good experience working with Unique in both Belgium and now also Portugal,”said Screenvision Europe's acting MD Isabelle Garraud. “Screenvision is always striving to offer the best possible product when it comes to cinema advertising, and we feel Unique helps us do that, whether for digital cinema or for analogue film distribution.” Screenvision Europe currently operates in nine European territories and is the world's largest international cinema advertising company.

Unique Digital and Screenvision Europe will both be present in Cannes at the SAWA (Screen Advertising World Association) conference 17-19 June. This will see the presentation of the first ever set of Standards and Recommendations for digital screen advertising, which Screenvision and Unique have both participated in the drafting of through their membership of the SAWA Digital Sub-Committee.
