We have recently upgraded our login system.  An account is not required, but necessary to set your preferences and edit company information.  If you have previously registered, you can log in again using the same email address and password.  You can reset your password by following the "forgot password?" link on the login page.

  • You can now log in using your external account from GoogleTwitter or LinkedIn.  More services may be added.  Contact DCinemaToday for more information. You may still need to add (and confirm) your email address if its not provided by the external login provider.
  • When logged in, you can access your Account Manage page by clicking on your email address under the DCinemaToday logo. 
  • A login account allows you to request edit permissions for your company listing.  This permission is granted on a request basis to authorized employees and business principals.  More information on requesting to updating company information is available on the Account Manage page.  Once authorized, the companies you can update will be listed in the Authorizations section of your Account Manage page. 
  • A login account allows you to set the order of the Market Focus tabs on the DCinemaToday Home page.  You can set any tab as your default starting tab. To do this, go to the Tab Preferences section of the Account Manage page   (Desktop only - not yet ready for the Mobile App.)   More user-specific features are under development, so we recommend you log in when possible.

Christie Vive Audio Expands Cinema Loudspeakers Offerings with LS Series

New Single-Enclosure, Planar Ribbon Driver Based Solutions Ideal for 5.1 and 7.1 Distributed Sound Applications
Christie® , a leader in creating and delivering the world’s best visual and audio experiences, is pleased to announce the launch of the Christie Vive Audio™ LS Series 4-way screen channel and 2-way surround loudspeakers at CinemaCon 2016. 

Featuring planar ribbon driver technology with its low distortion and superior transient response characteristics, LS Series screen channels are single-enclosure designs and ideal for most 5.1 and 7.1 distributed sound applications. Providing unparalleled timbre matching between screen and surround channels, LS Series enclosures offer a cost-effective entry into superior cinema sound. Christie will be demonstrating the impressive sound of the LS Series in the Milano 1 ballroom at CinemaCon.

LA Series cinema loudspeakers and is ideal for distributed audio applications in small to mid-sized auditoriums,” says Phil Sanchez, senior product manager, Christie. “The highly efficient design of LS Series enclosures enables exhibitors and integrators to use smaller amplifier configurations without sacrificing output, resulting in even greater overall cost savings.”
 
There are six models in the Vive Audio LS Series lineup. These include the LS1 and LS2 screen channel loudspeakers, as well as the LS1S, LS2S, LS4S and LS5S surround channel loudspeakers. Rotatable waveguides on the LS Series screen channels supports deployment in low profile situations or for use as corner surrounds in larger 5.1 applications.  Their single-enclosure design ensures quick deployment and reduced labor costs and their shallow depth enables deployment in even the narrowest of behind-screen spaces. Moreover, manufactured by Christie, the LS Series loudspeakers are a perfect complement to Christie’s award-winning digital cinema projection systems and, when combined, offer a complete, single-source exhibition solution.
 
Helios S.A., Poland’s largest cinema chain, confirmed that it will provision a third site with Christie Vive Audio™ using the LA Line Array Series for their Dolby Atmos auditorium and the remaining auditoriums with the new LS Line Source Series, a 4-way screen channel and 2-way surround loudspeaker system.
