The Inter-Society for the Enhancement of Cinema Presentation, Inc. promotes interactive dialogue and information exchange between cinema-related entities with the goal of resolving issues affecting the overall cinema presentation. Founded in 1978 by Eastman Kodak VP Ken Mason, membership is composed of its four charter trade organizations - International Cinema Technology Association (ICTA), the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), the National Association of Theatre Owners (NATO), and the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) - along with over 40 member companies, made up of trade organizations, motion picture studios, exhibition companies, manufacturers, technical consultants, and other industry stakeholders.
 




For more than a century, the people of SMPTE (pronounced “simp-tee”) have sorted out the details of many significant advances in media and entertainment technology, from the introduction of “talkies” and color television to HD and UHD (4K, 8K) TV. Since its founding in 1916, SMPTE has received an Oscar® and multiple Emmy® Awards for its work in advancing moving-imagery engineering across the industry. 



The EDCF is a not-for-profit voluntary organisation that aims to act as a "Forum" to discuss key issues surrounding Digital Cinema in Europe. The purpose of EDCF is to provide a basis of common understanding across all European territories of the business and technical matters of digital cinema. 



The Union Internationale des Cinémas/International Union of Cinemas (UNIC) represents the interests of cinema trade associations and cinema operators covering 37 countries in Europe and neighboring regions.​ ​





The International Cinema Technology Association is a global network of professionals in the motion picture industry. Members of the ICTA are those companies that manufacture, service and create the equipment that goes into movie theatres. The ICTA promotes technological advancements in the motion picture industry through educational seminars and programs. CineEurope 2022, has been scheduled for June 20-23, 2022 in Barcelona.  CineEurope promises to bring you another year with the very best in exclusive studio screenings and product presentations, cinematic technologies and innovations and educational seminars to keep your business on top of industry trends.



CineAsia 2022 has been scheduled for Dec 5-8, 2022 in Bangkok.  Check links for more information.  The CineAsia trade show is where cinema exhibition and distribution professional come to do business and network. National CineMedia Expands Network Adds VIP Cinemas and Closes Ten Additional Exhibit Partnerships including MJR and Cinergy Entertainment

New Deals Secure 800 screens and 16.5M annual attendees
National CineMedia (NCM), America’s largest movie network uniting brands with young, diverse movie audiences, today announced the expansion of its network with the addition of VIP Cinemas. Headquartered in Lafayette, Indiana, VIP Cinemas is a family-owned and operated circuit of seventeen theaters across eight states. From South Florida to Central Kansas, VIP recognizes the value of bringing the big screen to communities of every size.

NCM is also extending service agreements with an additional 10 exhibitors in the U.S.including Cinergy Entertainment, GQT Movies, MJR Digital Cinemas and United Entertainment Corp, securing more than 800 screens and approximately 16.5M annual attendees to its network for the long term.

"As a small theater chain emerging out of COVID-19, maximizing revenues and reducing workloads through streamlined processes have become top priorities. NCM has demonstrated they are the perfect strategic partner to achieve both of those goals," shared Jake McSparin of VIP Cinemas.

The fourth quarter of 2022 is home to multiple tentpole movie releases including Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Avatar: The Way of the Water and Black Adam—all blockbusters that will continue to drive NCM’s young and diverse audience into theaters.
