The Inter-Society for the Enhancement of Cinema Presentation, Inc. promotes interactive dialogue and information exchange between cinema-related entities with the goal of resolving issues affecting the overall cinema presentation. The EDCF is a not-for-profit voluntary organisation that aims to act as a "Forum" to discuss key issues surrounding Digital Cinema in Europe. The International Cinema Technology Association is a global network of professionals in the motion picture industry. Microspace Beams DreamWorks’ “The Heartbreak Kid” to Theaters Nationwide

Microspace Communications Corporation (Microspace), the leading distributor of digital cinema via satellite, today announced the satellite distribution of DreamWorks Pictures’ “The Heartbreak Kid” to theaters nationwide.

The film, which stars Ben Stiller, Michelle Monaghan and Malin Akerman, follows the hilarious story of Eddie Cantrow (Stiller) as he discovers his new bride (Akerman) is a nightmare, while simultaneously falling in love with another woman (Monaghan),during his honeymoon.

“Paramount (which is distributing “The Heartbreak Kid”) is at the forefront of changing the movie-going experience, leveraging digital delivery as a key element for the highest level of quality,” said Jim Tharp, President, Distribution, Paramount. “By tapping Microspace to deliver our films to theaters, we ensure that they will arrive securely and provide the true digital-quality discerning moviegoers demand.”

Microspace delivered “The Heartbreak Kid” to nine theaters starting October 5, 2007.

In a move that accelerates the conversion to digital cinema in Europe Paramount Pictures International (PPI) and Arts Alliance Media (AAM), Europe’s leading provider of digital film distribution services, have reached a non-exclusive long term agreement for digital cinema deployment. Under the agreement PPI has committed to supply its films in digital format to AAM deployed DCI-compliant digital cinema screens in the UK and Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, the Nordic region and Benelux.
