The International Cinema Technology Association is a global network of professionals in the motion picture industry. Dolby Cinema at AMC Opens Its 50th Location

100 Dolby Cinema at AMC sites planned to open by the end of 2017 and 160 by the end of 2018
More moviegoers than ever across the United States can experience the total cinema experience with AMC Theatres (NYSE: AMC) and Dolby Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE:DLB) celebrating the 50th Dolby Cinema at AMC location opening at AMC Rosedale 14 in Roseville, Minnesota.
 
Dolby Cinema at AMC is a premium cinema offering for moviegoers that combines spectacular image and sound technologies with innovative seating and amazing comfort to deliver the total cinema experience, making every visit a completely captivating cinematic event.
 
“Reaching the major milestone of 50 Dolby Cinema at AMC locations is a direct result of the outstanding reaction we have received from moviegoers nationwide,” said Doug Darrow, Senior Vice President, Cinema Business Group, Dolby Laboratories. “Our fast-paced growth is a testament to the shared commitment by Dolby and AMC to deliver movie lovers a best-in-class entertainment experience.”
 
The completion of this theatre puts the Dolby Cinema at AMC partnership plan on schedule. AMC Theatres and Dolby plan to complete the installation of 100 Dolby Cinema at AMC sites by the end of 2017, with plans to increase the number of locations to 160 by the end of 2018.
 
“Our guests enjoy the premium experience that Dolby Cinema at AMC provides, and now more guests will be able to experience the amazing slate of titles scheduled to be released in 2017,” said John McDonald, Executive Vice President, US Operations, AMC. “This next-generation cinema is leaving moviegoers impressed, thrilled, and excited by what they see, hear, and feel—all from the comfort of their reclining chairs.”
