Following quickly on the THX announcement of it’s certification of the Barco
D-Cine Premiere® digital projector, Barco Digital Cinema this month has
confirmed the supply and successful installation sixteen of the twenty three
Boeing Digital Cinema installations in North America and the UK.
In addition Barco has announced that it has also completed installations for the
Major Cineplex Group in Thailand and - just one month after it’s first
successful installation for UCI Central Europe - a second in Slovenia. Amongst
others the company also reports that it has provided projectors for Star Wars II
‘The Attack of the Clones’ screenings to Exhibitors in Finland, Italy and France
this month.
Sjoerd De Clerck, Managing Director of Barco Digital Cinema commented “ We were
delighted by the level of enquiries from international theatre owners since the
digital screening of the Star Wars II preview at ShoWest, and are very pleased
with the response of our Digital Cinema dealer network to the challenge of this
first, very demanding, installation program”
The completion of this global installation schedule coincides with Barco Digital
