DTS Digital Cinema Supports Release of First Mexican Production in Digital Cinema Quality
DTS Digital Cinema is proud to announce that it has encoded the highly anticipated release of the Mexican production La Leyenda de la Nahuala, utilizing its JPEG2000 variable bit rate encoder. The November 1 release date of La Leyenda de la Nahuala in Mexico will mark the first release of a Mexican production which meets the digital cinema specifications set by the major Hollywood studios. The release will be screened in select cinemas on the DTS FilmStore® Digital Cinema Player which meets DCI specification for 2K resolution JPEG2000 content and further marks the debut of the FilmStore in Mexico.
