Moving iMage Technologies Celebrates 10 Years Serving the Cinema Exhibition Community

Moving iMage Technologies is proud to announce the celebration of its 10 year anniversary. Founded in 2003, Moving iMage Technologies specializes in providing the cinema exhibition community with a myriad of products and services tailor made for their specific projection, audio, and FF&E needs.

“What started as a crazy idea has really turned into something special. I knew with the right people--arguably some of the most talented folks in the industry-- we would be able to provide some of the best technology applications to our customers!” says Joe Delgado, EVP Sales and Marketing and Founder. He continues “But along with Bevan Wright, Dave Richards, Phil Rafnson, Glenn Sherman, Tom Lipiec and Jerry Van de Rydt, not to mention the talents of our incredible family of employees, ultimately it's the faith and confidence placed on us by our customers that brought us to this milestone”

Phil Rafnson, Chairman and one of the Founders goes on to say “when Joe first came to me with his idea, I thought he was crazy, the industry does not need another supplier. But he's a persuasive guy and convinced me to support him, and here we are 10 years later after 10 years of being an important contributor to the industry's growth. I'm very proud of what Joe and the guys have accomplished, and very proud to be a part of it.”

Moving Image Technologies has deployed over 15,000 fully integrated Digital Cinema Systems allowing for some of the largest theater circuits to the smallest single screen operators to convert to D-Cinema.

Walter Hebert, Sr. VP of Purchasing for Cinemark Theatres, one of the largest cinema operators in the world states “I find it hard to believe that MIT has now been operating for 10 years, the time certainly passes very quickly. Moving Image Technologies has been one of our best partners and was instrumental in making our Digital Roll Out very successful and relatively painless and trouble free. Congratulations and continue what you do best, making and shipping a superior product for a competitive price”

Internationally, Moving iMage Technologies has shipped thousands of integrated digital systems to another of the largest Cinema operators in the world, Cinepolis of Mexico, whose CEO Alejandro Ramirez is being honored at this year’s CinemaCon convention in Las Vegas as recipient of the Global Achievement Award in Exhibition. As of press time Cinepolis is currently on pace to completely convert their circuit to digital in record time. Gabriel Morales Becker, Digital Cinema Strategy Deputy Director of Cinepolis says “MIT was a key partner in achieving Cinepolis migration to 100% digital in a year and a half. They created a one-stop-shop for us on what otherwise would have been dealing with at least 8 vendors. Also, their management and logistics teams worked around the clock to be always on time.”
